Dell Emc managers are the most incompetent people you can find in the industry. As a manager they relies on certain snakes and coc@ s---@@@ and this scenario is a win win as managers and inside people keep their jobs and good employees were either bullied or laid off. Major could vendors have their own server and storage to save cost so they don't need Dell Emc product lines anymore.
Exactly, from x super egoistic cannot be challenged, yes-man-or-I-will-get-rid-of-you-by-giving-zero-opportunities-since-my-cost-center-is-my-vacation-money directors, to x^2 adding EMC. So many "Gods" up there. Just admit the execs and management are 80% junk already.
It was the same at EMC. The useless pointless layer of management just kept getting bigger as the workforce got smaller. The good ole boys club was alive and well at EMC and they took care of their own. The only innovation that came out of EMC was through acquisition. Any company that has to rely on layoffs to make their profit margin instead of good business (ie, revenue) is on borrowed time (and borrowed money). This can only be sustained for so long... and then EMC became Dell EMC. Mismanagement. The End.
Been around a while. My current managers are very supportive. Cant say that for all or all groups but over the last few years they have all supported me. Even joined bridge calls and got me off them or assisted at the drop of a dime....
Dell is not fairing too well either. Almost puke many times when I deal with some snr managers and directors. EMC party is like a threat to their easy lives, I think it's a pretty good deal for the managers to fight and may the odds be at the competent managers' favor. Who come out glorious speaks volume of our true colors.
