2500 will come from the US and not as many people are taking the early retirement package as thought.
Has anybody else heard more about this? I have been hearing rumors about more layoffs, but this is the first time I am hearing about low response to early retirement incentive. Anybody knows more about this, per chance?
Communication has been minimal. I see jobs are being posted. Is this to back fill those retiring or will those remaining need to apply for their positions?
Word is very low participation rate for VERP. 2800 was the max and it will most likely be well under 2000, possible closer to 1000. 2000 was the target number of US cuts, but even that was said to most likely be higher. Each site is being evaluated for the minimum needs to operate. My guess is there will be 1500+ cuts made in addition to whatever the VERP number is. Each and every site will need to trim and do more with less. Best of luck.
