I am retired from the company and living in Laramie, WY. Our kmart is still open. Today, at the Safeway store, there was a big sign that said "welcome kmart pharmacy customers". Are all pharmacies closing, or just ours? Nothing on line that I can see.

Odd indeed since most Kmart pharmacies have now closed...and there aren't very many Kmart locations even left at this point. Sad, really.

Surprised the pharmacists and pharmcys lasted this long. They are very well paid and their techs to in comparison to other associates. It's only a matter of time until eddie pulls the plug on paying them that wages. He wants us all at minimum wage.
90 Kmart pharmacies were closed over the summer. An announcement was made, but they never released a location list.

The problem with the pharmacy operations is Kmart paying pharmacists roughly $100,000 a year plus mileage and expenses. Kmart's pharmacy techs are registered and licensed in every state regardless of the state requiring it. They get $12 to $15 an hour to start. Most Kmart pharmacies have to process thousands of prescriptions a week just to break even. Most are not.
The pharmacists for this store were shared with other stores. With the acceleration of store closures, the nearest Kmart pharmacies are now 40 to 80 miles away.
This store had its KCafé shut down recently because it was losing money being staffed with three to four associates at times of operation. Associates were eating more food than members from what I heard.
Only two open in michigan that I know of, the rest recently closed.
Ours closed also..no telling of regulars either..Rumors say in about 3 months after closing a pharmacy the store closes..
I believe all the Kmart Pharmacies are shutting down, not just yours. I've read on here that they are not even allowed to tell their pharmacy regulars about them being shutdown either.
