They are also trying to deny people for unemployment even though most were laid off whose numbers were good and even those who just received reviews and raises! Tacky, Tacky, Tacky!!!
The lay offs were done so that all the employees had only one day of insurance. Dish policy is that your insurance is covered for the month that you were terminated. The Riverfront/work at home we’re done the 29th of March. Coincidentally the call center chose to have a sign up table for “refer a friend” to work at Dish the next day. Very tacky way to treat employees that gave you many years of dedication.
They have started to do the same thing to WAH (work at home) agents as well! Same reason changes in the business low call volume ect. No warning no severance pay like what was offered in Christiansburg. Any other sites being offered severance??
This appears to possibly be a violation of WARN notification. If you were laid off, lawyer up.
I was let go today an said it was due to lack of call volume an my numbers were good. Not to do now.
They are also laying off at the Spartanburg center too. They are being shady about it and letting one person go at a time.
So heartbreaking giving your all for a company you believed in and then you are cut off like that. Hiring in El Paso yet multiple great employees are being let go. I hear this was just a beginning.
I'm hearing Bluefield was quiet today (Sunday), but the rumor is, at least another 20-40 in the coming days. I don't even know how many are gone already. They gave the same generic answer to local news media that they've given in every other market they're doing this to. They're claiming reduced call volume, but it's got to be bigger than that.
Over 100 let go from Tulsa thus far.People are being told it's due to downsizing, yet Dish still actively hiring new agents weekly.
Bluefield is slow but steady I would say around 40 now
Multiple layoffs in el paso. All great people no warning. Just walk in and walked out immediately. Meet you at the security desk.
There have been 100 or more so far in Tulsa, OK. Since 3/29/18
100 or more in Harlingen no notice no paperwork shown
Around 30 in riverfront
Laid off at least 30 people in Phoenix for "restructuring."
10% of it work force in all us operated call centers
About 300-400 in Christiansburg are being let go. March 2018
Not sure about Englewood but they're laying off in Spartanburg and El Paso.
