You can never tell if layoffs are planned, but if HR has too many meetings with closed doors you got to be freaked out. I am in Downers Grove.

Not true...I'm going...and it's my call.
Nobody retires from Devry University on their own. Everyone has a number and at some point your number will be called. It wasn't alway like this but over the last 20 years Devry has changed for the worse.
Sadly there is a stigma for all that work with DeVry. When interviewing, you will need to explain why you worked for such a shameful school, that is, if you are lucky enough to even have the opportunity to interview. I've seen it with my own eyes, former DeVry employees are often discarded immediately upon receipt of the application and resume.
Predict there will be no layoffs there in 2018 ...... or 2019...or beyond
When they get to the square root of -1 employees, profits go to infinity (and beyond).
@3kbh We all know the new meat costs less than the people we laid off just before them. Who cares if they had experience or (god forbid) talent or experience that would make things go smoothly? It's all about that P&L sheet! And despite the abrupt Rob Paul exit, the DVU sheet is still all L and no P.
And just like our fine friends in Real Estate & Facilities, a penny saved now makes us look good despite it costing us two dollars in another 18 months to fix what our "thrift" accomplished today.
2018? 2017 isn't even over yet. There's still plenty of time for more layoffs this year. C'mon management, keep on cutting! There's plenty of more people left to get rid of. There's still at least two people at my center. You've got to get rid of them now! Keep on Chopin', DeVry. Each layoff means more profit! Maybe we can hire more people just to layoff...that would drive profits through the roof!
Yea if u just watch a leetle bit, it's not hard to figure out what these idiots are cooking up. Humorous in fact.
Did you ask what they are doing?....win their friendship & find out with a bag of donuts.
