Accenture will likely be making layoffs tomorrow, 5/31/18. End of pay period and end of fiscal Q3. They need to report cost cutting measures to shareholders and will likely do so in the upcoming earnings call later in June.
Many Senior Managers and above in US and Canada are being laid off.
Accenture has burned through $600M of it’s balance sheet cash in last two quarters. Common sense says there will be job cuts shortly.
Several sectors within Accenture are hemorrhaging cash. Layoffs coming before Q3 earning results.
Accenture taking on water! Layoffs in the digital and Federal sectors.
Accenture is in the red folks. Probably one month (if that) before layoffs begin. In Chicago, their creative services firm will take a hit as well. They are hinting every 2 weeks.
Absolutely true! I was with ACN for 5+ years made it to a Strategy Manager 40 years old top of pay grade and consistently above rating. I was given a two week notice in between projects with no warning and no severance. Almost all of the best Strategists left or we're laid off / pushed out before I was. There was little to no real strategy work being sold anymore. Totally cold and unprofessional. Took them over 1 month to actually process my termination too so I had to testify in front of a judge to get UI insurance. Blessing in disguise though! Definitely do not recommend!
Accenture's Talent Fulfillment Specialists on AO side are useless!!!! You are on your own to find your assignments if your role ended. Even if you submitted yourself on several roles using their internal useless role submission tool, it won't generate any interviews at all and TFS will just be biting their fingers without even proposing you to any of those roles. You need to have someone with BIG name in the company to survive!!!!!
Layoffs start in Chicago. Accenture Digital laying off people.
Layoffs in DC this week.
Without any discussion people are getting least rating then layed off its hapening in mass in india in this month.why govt cant take any action or query against this unethical practice?
People should not join these kind if company let them suffur....
No cuts in the USA right now, we are doing just fine.
I think we'll feel some pain but not as much as other companies in the sector. Just look at IBM's page here on layoff.com and you'll notice that there is a ton of posts about layoffs (or 'resource actions' as they call it) - Accenture is much better in managing the bench (on the consulting side) and I think we'll have less cuts - at the same time, you never know what will happen.
If, for example, a major recession hits in 2018 (analysts are putting at a 20% probability level) you will see cuts that will include folks who are on the bench but are unable to find projects. At the same time, this is your typical Accenture mode - we'll cut you if you are on the bench for an extended period of time regardless of what the economy does.
Why Chicago? The cuts, if they happen, will cross multiple geographies and operating groups. Zeroing in on Chicago layoffs will not tell you the real story.
