I spent last 5years with our company and it'd be a real shame if they were to decide to lay people off from our offices in NYC.

Seriously I was MTS and had to get out, the scripts you run across working there are disgustingly scatological or pedophiliac you wonder what kind of human can stand it.
I want names and perp-walks!
Layoffs are nothing new @ Viacom. Five (5) years really is hardly no time vested at all. Some people have been with the company for 10-20 years. Imagine how they feel
word is that Viacom is about to layoff about 500 people in mid Feb. You can hear the death bells walking down the hallways, everyone knows it's coming and is just hoping for s decent package. Its sad to see all the years of hard work turned to this.

Sumner and minions missed the boat and Philippe hit the iceberg with it. We are so off in so many ways - the amount of money and resources spent on the TRL reboot is absolutely-fricking mind-boggling.
It's a shame when anyone gets laid off. But after 15+ years I have seen how this company works. Sumner and his over-paid minions missed the boat BIG time over the years and we're all paying for it. Channels will either get sold or a big video or communications company will buy what's left of it. MSOs don't like us and for good reason. Cord cutting, lame content, no mobile plan, high carriage fees and bad management are what's on the menu.
Viacom lays people off weekly. Small reorgs here and there but it's constant.
