I need to escape from here (*like asap - jet bro) now that many folks are talking about potential layoffs in Boston.

I was a managing director in Fund Admin in Boston up until this summer (I left voluntarily) and I can confirm that their plan is to move 85% of the US workforce to India by the end of 2019. Some groups are at 50% or more already. If your group is not at 85% now, more layoffs are coming and a good financial report in Q3 is irrelevant.
Yes they will encourage you to leave by changing the days and hours you work. They may tell you they need to to work at another office farther away from your home.
The trap is if you leave you are not able to claim unemployment benefits so you have to decide, stay and s--- it up or leave and have no $$$$$$$$$$
I have been saying this for a couple of years, layoffs through attrition they don’t want to pay for you to leave they want to make it as miserable and unhealthy and unbearable as possible so you willingly leave.
Where is senator W of MA helping everyone else except her constituents. She’s a phoney blowhard scripted ny her lobbyists.
CEO will manipulate stock with buybacks

Nothing new here to see
Many in Boston have already been cut
The peopled offered other positions are the ones who are PETS of the Bosses.
I seen these pets get the easiests assigments, get shown favortisms by their Bosses
Considering that in 2016 they had an article about laying off 7,000 that would take several years, it is going to happen at some point. I already know of many current employees who have already been displaced or offered different positions within State Street. Many of them will eventually leave State Street which is the ultimate goal of top management at State Street anyway.
