Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Be Human

In a recent post, someone referenced needing to cut to stay competitive, etc. While this may be true, look around. If you're fortunate to NOT be affected, please be human, kind and reach out to those who are. Help those impacted by giving LinkedIn recs, introduce them to your contacts, pushing applicable jobs their way, reminding them of WHY they were hired and the impact they made - actively help them get through this emotional time even if only by way of encouragement. I recognize The Juniper Way generally doesn't exist in this place anymore, but for any of you that had subscribed to it, resurrect it to help your fellow colleagues. And for those less empathetic, it's a small industry and while being an A-hole will clearly help you succeed at Juniper today, those outside know how you operate and astute companies ask around.

But those living and working in bay area are not humans. We are robots . We don't have any feelings.
