I used to be a manager with Hyatt. Curious, is this hotel union? I was at 2 properties, both union, and I can tell you it is extremely difficult to make these kind of changes you are mentioning if your property is. You mention a new GM and HR team to clean house so maybe this property is not union. If so, there is hope. If not, it will not matter how many new managers you bring in to make changes because they will not be able to clean house.

Hyatt Winfrey Birmingham Hoover, Alabama layoffs: Hotel Front Desk Manager (Hotel Manager), Executive Chef, Housekeeping Director and many other 10 plus year employees have been laid off. Is the Hotel for sale? GM and HR hire the worst kind of people and have mismanaged the Hotel, hiring friends and former coworkers instead of qualified personnel. Absolutely no accountability, high food costs due to Banquets giving away food for free. Roaches everywhere, Poor maintenance led to the Pool being closed during the summer months. They lost Shula's Restaurant due to poor quality, low health department scores. When is Davidson Corporate going to wake up and realize that the Hotel needs a new GM that is willing to get their hands dirty and has a strong work ethic and also replace the HR people with people who will hire qualified employees and who will get rid of the bad apples. Time to send in a temporary A-Team to clean house, start an investigation, interview employees and fumigate the place.
