Foot Locker has rested on Nike’s laurels for years. Now that Nike is no longer innovative and a desired brand and is suffering badly, Foot Locker does exactly what NIKE does: lets go of their smartest and most tenured employees. Foot Locker Culture is shifting to Nike’s famed back stabbing and “strategy over execution” culture too. I am actively looking to get out before it is too late. Very sad. Good luck to those exited last month.

This is nothing new with Foot Locker (Over reliance on Nike and not wanting anyone over 40). It has been going on for decades. I left in the the mid-90s in my early 30's after having worked 7 years. I have never regretted leaving and wish I had done it earlier.
From what I see, it started in HR and IT and is now penetrating the rest of the organization. Anybody in their 30’s and early 40’s should parlay their experience and go elsewhere. From what I witnessed and IMHO, the company does not value or want anyone over 45 or anyone that has been with the company over 10 years. We are emulating NIKE. Get out before it’s too late. Watch what people do, not what they say. Words are cheap.
True. At least here in IT
