I was just wondering if I missed something. I keep reading this board, and people are referring to the incoming layoffs as certain, and I was just wondering if I missed some kind of an announcement or confirmation? This is an honest question, do we know for sure that major layoffs are coming to Juniper, or are we still in the realm of rumors only?

100% confirmed for Tues. Good luck to everyone. It's going to be blood bath.
Brace yourself. Layoffs are coming as a surprise. If you are called by your manager, there's a great chance you are a victim. Don't stress it and prepare for the worst.
I was told it will be shocking - and that some of the individuals affected will surprise. And that it was the beginning of the end. Now this sounds very dramatic - and yet, nothing surprises me anymore. If what's below about NO package is accurate, it's an engineered attempt to quickly inspire mass resignation. If you actually care about your human capital, you wouldn't deploy such tactics. Don't you agree?
With all the rumors of a large cut it would have to be significantly north of 7%. Juniper trims a paltry 7% annually without a second thought. There was already a 7% cut earlier this year without so much as a whimper. I would expect this to be a major restructuring. With the latest hit to JNPR stock price human scacrifices must be made to appease the Wall St. masters of the universe.
Is the estimate still a 7% cut or is it higher?
With NO package? That is unheard of, but I guess we are just seeing what new HR leadership is all about? None? Really?
@PJUbfEm-9ldf For those who were sent home without package, were they in improvement plan or fired for any violation of work ethics? Otherwise Juniper might get into legal trouble.
Source from HR says says, some sent home before the layoff with NO package. High ranking execs - VPs, DEs, Snr. Directors and Directors are not spared.
Unconfirmed but might be same package as last layoff.
If cuts are deep, like a few posts said, the severance package is gonna s--- big time.
That’s Brutal! It’s going to be a tough week.
Has anyone heard what the severance packages look like, this time around?
Starting Tuesday October 24th, layoffs will be announced during individual meetings with management/HR, followed by the traditional feelgood team/department meetings, and email from Rami, for survivors. There are reports novice managers have already warned employees or scheduled meetings, while others are holding out for the auspicious date and time to inform their reports.
Speculation that adjustments to previous promotions and appointments, deemed unhealthy and under investigation by HR in several departments, will coincide - already confirmed in JDI and Marketing. More to follow in JDI, Marketing, Sales and other areas. Censorship on Glassdoor is likely related.
Yes they are confirmed, either end of this week or early next week.
Managers are being prepared.
If Cisco can do it,, so can Juniper. Employees don't like it, tough sh!t. If we can't beat Cisco, least we can do is follow them. Juniper value be damned.
24th does sound logical. It is a bit late though. Most impacted people cannot find another job before holiday season.
Classy
Heard 2 people in EMEA were told by their boss (same boss) that they are on the "list". Apparently, the said boss was under the influence on company expenses at the time of opening his mouth during a "team dinner". There are some managers in EMEA from Southern European countries who are superior level experts on wines, whereas when it comes to technology, corporate communication and management skills, give the impression that they are under the influence of the same.
24th
I feel Oct 24th or 25th. These seem to happen on either Tuesdays or Wednesdays and we have the company meeting on the 27th as a feel good.
Just wondering if there is any specific date?
Its coming. Run this algo in your head:
-if you are over 40 and
-spent 10+ years here and
-make good money as software engineer in US
-you only did your job , but have built no connection
Then you are advised to work on your resume. Its juniper way
I haven't heard anything solid either. But as far as I can remember, layoff at Juniper always came as a surprise. People got noticed in the morning, then a new all hands meeting held in the afternoon. There was not a single time management gave advanced notice. What kind of confirmation are you looking for?
wondering the same thing...
