I'm not an Altice employee. I see all these posts here about layoffs and outsourcing. I do not understand how this is allowed because I thought I had read that Altice had promised none of the above when they were allowed to buy Cablevision.

an excerpt from NYS Public Service Commission's order:
"The Commission will prohibit Cablevision from laying off, or taking any action effecting an involuntary reduction (excluding retirement incentives and attrition), in any customer-facing jobs in New York in the four years following the issuance of this Order...."
"excluding retirement incentives and attrition" <-- loophole which enabled them to offer VSPs & VRPs
Really doesn't matter much at this point. There was only one possible way to have prevented what's happening right now. Instead, most employees chose to drink the Kool-Aid.
Altice will continue to layoff & outsource because there's absolutely nothing in the way to stop them.
I hope the buyout comes soon ... spectrum is still hiring at top rate ... double dip...!! Guys are killing it...!!
The lies they told
100000 percent correct !!!! ATS was all created to bypass the protection so now we are all just sitting Ducks !!! Hopefully they offer ATS a buyout , so we can move on and they can hire the low cost workers they want ...
That only applied to customer facing jobs. So what he did was create a.t.s. he was told that when we were optimum. Now we are this new company so hello loop hole. Now that being said. Right now only customer service jobs are being axed. And thats becaused field service has lost to many to other jobs. Guys are leaving here faster than they can get contractor's to replace us. Either way he knew when he bought this company that it would be easy to tell new york state to go f-- yourself.
