We spent sweet $34B on buying Baker Hughes.
What for?
It's a dying industry and look at the management mess in Aberdeen North Sea.
They lost work and revenue big time.

Just as bad like halliburton shambolic
Hell they can't even build a good light bulb. What else do you expect when nobody works togever.
now, now, now everbody go a quit yer caterwauling. look, ya jus gotta realize that hey, really GE shouldn’t now even be in dis bidness. C’mon look at yourself, is this really where you think you can be a playa’ ??. Leave this industry to the ruff boys. You guys should go back to turbines, light bulbs and appliances.
jus’chill dude, ever’thin’ gonn’ be allrigh’
How bout those Astros ?!?!??!!
One problem that I have seen since GE has taken over. This is just a retread of BHI, GE has done nothing unload the SORRY managers all the way down to the plant sites. The same IDIOTS are in charge and running things into the ground!
Bye bye GE Aberdeen today
It’s not bakerhughes fault you lot getting kicked out on ur ass
Oil will come back. It's in the future. 18 is the year. If you don't believe. Then get out. Go into selling insurances. Look at the facts.
I thought GE wanted to dump their own O&G business for long time. Don't blame Baker.
Give it time - corporations don't move fast. You appear to be focused on BHI bashing and that recurring "they lost revenue" theme. Fact is, im concerned with how this is still going to shake out with the -&$(?!-n' synergies. What stays, what goes, who gets sold, dumped or whatever. GE took a hit on the market recently and that may force more changes. Be careful what you wish for baker dude, you just might get it.
Part of that purchase includes a polymers business that goes into areas that have nothing to do with oil services, like cosmetics, candles, paints, adhesives, etc. etc. You guys at GE should be ashamed of yourselves.
People got bored with you on the BH site so now you jump over here and try to start up again pretending to be a legacy GE employee. Can't you just leave it alone? Seriously - you are obsessed. The North Sea, pardon the pun, is a drop in the ocean. Not even a blip on the radar screen.
