There's a poster on this site that keeps insisting that the BP buyout of Cabela's is so complex that it's likely they will never be able to merge these two amazingly different companies. This person states "that there are numerous computer languages that can never me merged." This is pure hogwash and wishful thinking. This person has no knowledge of basic operations or business practices.
FACT: No one really knows how long it will take. No one knows if some store will remain under the Cabela's banner.
But it will happen. All departments will merge at the corporate headquarters in Springfield and there will massive layoffs...not new hiring like this poster suggested in an earlier post.
If this buyout was so complex that didn't allow for consolidation, Johnny never would have bought the company.
