Laid off or not... I am:

  1. Buying a Tesla

  2. Having fun this weekend

  3. Respond to all attractive job openings received in my inbox during the last 8 weeks.

  4. Do some self-employed work to get by

  5. Stop paying my mortgage while asking for hurricane relief (by the way, anyone in Florida impacted by one of the most recent hurricanes, we have been declared a disaster area and banks are giving a 6 month mortgage deferment even if you house is not damaged badly)

  6. Probably tap into my 401k savings

  7. Not care

  8. Rinse and repeat

Wow.... so much hate I see in the replies. You all, we all deal with tragedies the best way possible. Kudos to him for not letting it drag him down. I will try to do the same minus probably the money tapping. I will first consult with a lawyer though. I got laid off

To you that said it must be nice to be not married or have children, know this... I'm the OP. Not single. Not without children.

I'm a father of two, supporting a house with 6 people in it. I don't make a ton of money, but I live a happy life. I don't care about this things. I should probably add that I am also opening my doors for a family in need in the next couple of weeks from the devastated Puerto Rico.

Even if I get laid off, I will still continue with my plans. I work and play hard. At 46 years of age, I've learned to make lemonade when life gives me lemons. You should try it. Every time I put more challenges in front of my life, I end up having no choice but to meet my goals, thus, it has always helped me get out of troubles. I work in front of computers all day long, and I am good at it, but if I have to mow all my neighbors lawns to make an honest living, I will. Never be afraid to get your hands dirty. The reward is always there.
