Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Is this much extra security really needed?

Anybody else thinks they overdid it with extra security? I understand the need for some measures, but this just seem outright excessive. What do they think we'll do?

Pondering about this kind of things shows a lot of people have way too much time in their hands.

Texas shooting also showed that government bureaucrats are incompetent and can't be bothered to enter disqualifying information into NICS.

So let's have more government!!!

“Actually every gun sold legitimately by a dealer goes through a NICS background check done by the FBI. I hope you were let go for being ignorant.”...........Texas latest shooting just showed how true and accurate this statement is

Yes this is true, it's a state law. Far from what the media says, there are hundreds of gun laws and are well defined and fairy strict.

To all the America haters in FTL, company policy allows concealed weapons licensees to store a firearm in their vehicle while on the property of any Florida campus. Please commence your pearl clutching now.

Security was way too much. I agree. My HR person was in deep sh-- for fact that they thought that I was a remote employee, and I was just walking around the office without security. That gave me time to nuke my hard drive to destroy personal information before turning in my five year old laptop.

US: You live in a country with no gun control, (background checks are laughable)

We are human beings, we get angry, sad, depressed, human emotions at the end... of course it was the right call to increase security for EVERYONE.

Disgruntled employee with a gun not a good combination

Yes it is. They will say it is for the safety of everyone involved. Mostly theirs though.
