Just wondering if anybody was actually surprised by these layoffs? Citrix used to be an amazing company to work for, but boy did that change. We used to have good managers who valued innovation. Today, the higher management only cares about their own pockets, and lower level management is so young they have absolutely no idea what they're doing. The pay's no longer competitive with the rest of the industry, and don't even get me started on advancement possibilities. Everything that used to be good about Citrix changed. It was only a matter of time before layoffs became a regular occurrence.

I was not surprised, and have been expecting Citrix to cut a lot of costs in preparation for a selloff.
The question I am asking myself is not why I am being laid off. It's why I didn't move on sooner. I was spared in 2015, and I should have known better. Now I am one of the cattle being herded into a meeting room in the morning by men in black suits. Yes I saw it coming. No I didn't think it would be me.
