September layoffs have been whispered about all around for months now, but here we are, and nothing is happening. I know it's still early in the month, but wouldn't we have heard at least something from official channels if it was going to happen? Just wondering if we can chalk this up to just another rumor.

Does anyone know what the severance was like? I took the voluntary package back in July since I had a suspicious that I would be let go. Lenovo called that offer a generous one, but that is what Lenovo was offering as the standard package. The package was for up to 26 weeks of pay. One week for every year.
Did Lenovo reduce the severance package?
We were just notified we are losing a team member to these resource actions. They are telling us 4% of all US employees being let go.
Well it's happening today. Hundreds, could be thousands. Myself included.

I worked for Lenovo and was given notice of a resource action this. So they are not coming, they are here.
How many and in which groups? Will all be done by September 30?
