I've heard some people were told they're dept is moving from Boston to Quincy.
I think they had like four months between the notification and the move.
Is that typical or do you likely get less notification?
Too many rumors flying around.

This is replicated at every big company, nothing exclusive to state street unfortunately.
Wait until AI takes on more and more capabilities.
Sorry the jobs being offered to these people will be at a 30% pay cut or more.
The ones who will take it are the desperate ones over the age of 50yr
And they might be asked to have to commute even longer to another SST office
They might be told the only job we could find you is on second or third shift
Take it or leave SST
As a former employee I have been in touch with many who told me that many positions are being sent to India and the plan is to find these employees other positions within State Street. Not exactly an ideal situation but it at least gives you an opportunity to find something else.

I will probably try becoming a real estate broker or some other type of sales position since I really hate my current job and company that I work for.
Wait until they move to FL or TX or other cheap states. MA is too expensive for companies to want to pay high rent, taxes and payroll.
The state is losing a lot of millennialater which is bad for our economy.
From past experience you usually find out about 2 days before the move.

They do have a lot of buildings in Quincy and Braintree which they been consolidated over the last
10 years to save money
