Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Toxic work environment at Juniper

Toxic work environments don't get built overnight. It is the result of bad hiring practices, bad leadership and ineffective HR management. In essence, poor leadership. The result is poor workforce morale and reduced productivity, which eventually leads to layoffs and cuts we are about to see in the next few weeks. Poor (technology and marketing) decisions just add more fuel to the fire.

Rami and his leadership team must realize they are gambling with the livelihood of the people that built a multi-billion dollar company. The very company they are now running down into the ground. They must also know if they don't cleanup this mess, they themselves will be replaced. No one is safe. Not even Rami himself is safe, and remember he is unltimateley responsible for this clusterf--k. Juniper may not be looking for a new CEO, but they sure as hell are looking to replace key functional leaders. Sadly, it might be too little, too late.

Couldn't agree more. I was a lucky layoff in March and I am so thankful I am out of there!

Not all large companies are toxic. Some are worse then others. I have to agree, Juniper is one of the worst. Many of the people that were let go are saying it was the best thing that happened to them.

Not sure if this helps but here is a newsflash for you - EVERY SINGLE LARGE COMPANY in the US is just like this - so, chill and try to relax. If you want a paycheck, you will have to deal with this, at Juniper or somewhere else - it comes with the turf...
