Do you have an updated list of TRU location that will be closing?

They closed over time not all at once, but they are all fairly recent. Basically they've been closing stores as their leases expire instead of renewing.

If the company survives the season then they will probably close all but the A volume stores.

They are private sector company, and do a great job of hiding their bad press... which is one of their rarer competencies.

You will hear of a bankruptcy soon enough, this company will serve as a great case study down the line when it comes it comes to organizational cultural failures due to the stupidity of their long term managerial execution.

When the retail arbitrage model has been sinking for 15 plus years, and in an era where discounters and digital can cut in on margins (at-scale no less), and a company doesn't adapt in that 15 year span... it means you have some of the stupidest people imaginable doing whatever they can to maintain status quo.

This is the year that big box retailers fall off the cliff, so it isn't surprising to see this company struggling... get out now!

Where how did you get this information did this affect you someone within knows this information since not known to public and not even the news

The two stores listed in Munich, Germany are actually one and the same. More frightening is the number of employees that got laid off in the German HQ and all over Europe in general. The former President of Toys R Us Europe who was responsible for this mess was fired in February and is now CEO of HBC Europe where he is doing exactly the same BS as he did at TRU.

the stores the OP lists have been closed - but over time for a number of reasons. you can look them up on yelp, i sampled three and all three were closed. but this happened at random times, not in a block - not as a part of organized closing. not sure where the list started but it's true - however, it may be deceiving as it was not a planned closure of a large number of stores.

How come this is not mentioned on the news, social media, ect? When will people actually see this? I haven't seen one closing of any of these stores just heard of this on here. Specifically, I'd like to know,,,, and why?
