Thread regarding Boston Financial Data Services layoffs

Boston Financial Data Services management lying about layoffs

Reposting from an older thread. @OKn5aDj-ijfk is completely on point.

Glad I found this site. Morale has been lousy at BFDS/DST since certain people left in June. Many of us have had to take on additional tasks and several groups I work with are now underperforming internally and externally due to some of the more knowledgeable people having left and the quality has suffered noticeably. Some co-workers are feeling since it's only a matter of time between September through December when they will be part of the next "workforce reduction" they are somewhat going through the motions. Terry Metzger and Vercie Lark made a big production of having "Town Hall" meetings with employees at both BFDS/DST to insure all that there would be no changes until near the end of the year and if there was those changes would be communicated immediately. To the point when asked specifically about layoffs both replied that nothing was imminent. Then BFDS/DST proceeded to blindside 150+ employees that were let go and those of us that remain that have absolutely no trust in management beginning with group managers on up.

BFDS has been going downhill for many years now. When I was still there, I remember a town hall meeting where a VP said that the BFDS business model was obsolescent. Of course, that made everyone think of layoffs; but the VP told us not to worry. Si9nce then, it's been layoff after layoff.

I was part of the team which opened the Crown Colony building. When my layoff came, in August of 2013, I remember seeing many floors with empty areas. I would not be surprised if I walked in there today, and found everyone who still has a job crammed onto two floors, with the rest being rented out.

Yep, it's going on all over the place these days. Just spend 20 mins reading "Latest Posts" for proof.

We are currently in the midst of a huge cover up with seemingly every major corporation involved.

Those that admit layoffs, downplay the number, lie and say they're just moving people around, or that affected employees can apply for the jobs theyre opening up elsewhere.

All one big lie. The economy is tanking hard and everyone from government to corporations and media are part of the cover up.
