I was let go a few months back. Was told this was the result of office location analysis throughout the U.S. and impacts those locations deemed to be located in "non-strategic market locations." Personally I know the a new president in major accounts is at the helm and certain this was his way of making a quick foot print on the landscape to impress the higher-ups.
I was provided access to a placement company to assist with job sourcing and a few months severance. Although I am grateful they provided that much, I am disheartened that ADP doesn't value talent enough to evaluate to see where resources could be relocated rather than simply shown the door. This truly speaks to their lack of talent development.
I am further disappointed there are a lot more layoffs to come. Several office locations were closed in spring of 2017 in the northeast and expect more during 2018 once year-end reporting comes to a close.
There is little basis upon which they use to decide who stays versus who exits, so be polish up the resume and LinkedIn profile and keep the networking channels open!
