Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

outsource legislation

We, the people of this great nation, must insist that our elected officials pass legislation to require companies such as UHG to disclose the number of jobs moved to countries, such as India and the Phillipines

Some people think that a few hundreds jobs were moved to India. This is not true

Have you ever seen the size of the buildings in india? They are cities with a dozen or more restaurants for thousands of employees

@ttll, you start in the workforce at 15-16 in most states. Add 17 years with the company and she is hardly a "young mother". Maybe she was let go horribly but being over 30 nothing to gasp about and you can probably find better examples to direct your outrage.

Just heard about horrific way young mother was laid off at UHC. No notice just called and said she was fired after 17 years. Woman she knew for years called was nasty and did not give any options for applying in other divisions.

We, the people of this great nation should be outraged!

If you can't communicate due to language barriers with offshore business partners, there is a serious problem! Leadership doesn't care- they don't have to put up with it, only put the money in there pockets. I was laid off due to "Financial Constraints" Hmm, in a decade our stock price increased from less than $30/share to just under $200.00/share. It does not sound like they are hurting for money or profits.

It is time for us to make that stock price go down.
