Dell's fiscal year ends in September..... so it's natural to see a lot more cuts during this month.

I cut and paste this quote from above, I echo that sentiment

"

There is so much beyond Dell/EMC so don't worry about it.

Let faith do it's job and see where your next chapter begins if you are laid off..

You will have a couple sleepless nights and then you will start to find your path to your next chapter in life.

No big deal trust me.

We at NDC don't care. EqualLogic still makes money and we are good. Some on Cyclone and remaining on Compellent, as long as we fool the system MDC, Hop and Dell......we not worried and our managers directors and project managers take a good care of it. Cheers to free pay

We have figured out Cyclone is screwed up and it won't ship. We take aircover and pass time writing junk code which doesn't work. We write junk code that is what we're capable of. Hopkinton can be easily fooled. It's the art of survival.

lBDC storage there is no layoff as storage CTO is in our pocket. We don't even have to write proper code for cyclone migration as we doubt even cyclone shipping. Our plan is to get SMS till the joke lasts.

I'm starting to drink the layoff kool-aid. It's too stressful. Pass me the glass and wish me luck. There are other worlds than these...

In BDC my director told me all people who are not working on cyclone migration project will be laid off. Our manager has put all favourite people in this project so that other people can be laid-off.

Hi all,

I just wanted to write this to give people a glimmer of hope.

I was an EMC employee for over 9 years. I never had any illusions of retiring from EMC (I started with them at 31 years old), but when they layoffs hit us in November 2017, to say it was a slap in the face was an understatement.

My entire team was wiped out. I then braced myself for the arduos interview process that came, which turned out to be just as sh--ty as I had imagined (I'm a Software Engineer).

However, after three months of interviewing, I landed a job at a great company with an amazing team, and a near 25% increase in salary. I used the exit package money as part of a down payment for a better home. Right now, every single one of my team members is gainfully employed.

To be honest, I had been looking for another job weeks before the layoff. I hated EMC. Management s---ed and the product I was working on was a f---in' piece of sh--. Getting laid off was a total blessing.

My advice is that you should calm down. Relax. Get your resume ready, prepare well for your interviews, and put your family first. Hug your kids. Kiss your wife. You will most likely end up in a much better position. EMC f---in' blows.

Any idea roughly when in September is phase 2?

I know from reliable sources that September is the battle h layoff. August was just a starter. Main course in September and dessert in a October. Some evil sadist top management of storage have created this blueprint. Just watch how this pogrom plays itself out.

This is the second phase buddy. The org realignment and layoff lists are all in place. The bullet has left the gun. Keep living in your own reality.

Hiring freeze and Travel freeze are two telltale signs that would tell you if your team will be impacted.
