Thread regarding Chico's FAS Inc. layoffs

Reapplying at Chico's

I was effected and heard that many more were being let go across brands. In the same conversation I was told I was not only welcome but encouraged to re apply as I add great value to the store. Seriously? Not sure how this saves the company money when now that store is operating on only 2 managers that. Ow have to work OT to cover store hours.

I am pretty sure they save a ton of money because they let go of people with high salaries just to hire them back at lower pay. This has been going on not just here, but all around. Get rid of those who have years under their belts, accumulated experience, and pay to go with it and either replace them with new people on starting pay or rehire them at lower pay. It should not be legal, but it is. Not much to do about it.

I wish that Chicos had more people to listen to us. There is no open door policy

Chico's management s---s here, they have no training and no people skills. Usually Technical People are not Good Managers, They make people manager's who shouldn't be - it's pathetic.
