Has anyone's boss talk to them about merits for this year or is that off the table?

US merit instease effective Oct 2 however not on the paycheck until 2 weeks later. 1-2% if you are lucky will be common and I would bet layoffs happen anyway. I know my Director and VP seem to be more disconnected. As a manager I am completely in the dark. AS here.

Seems odd to have raises announced on Oct 2 and then a week later to have rumoured layoffs. I am guessing managers won't or shouldn't be allocating anything to the employees being laid off. I am thinking any layoffs would be announced on Oct 2 and raises on Oct 9 and would make more sense.

So employees won't know until Oct. 2 or that pay on the Friday before will have our merit included? It was always earlier but not much to look forward to is my bet.

QA department in BLR is like has slum leaders. If someone doesn't belong to their category/community, simply say the person is not skilled and DFW is simply listening to these kind of people. There is no diversity in QA department here.

VPs in AS are nothing but cronies and leftovers of the HJ/DJ era. AS is a fiefdom...period...and it's not the new guy running it... a certain SVP/CMO. I can't tell you how many people in AS hate him and find him creepy, but don't do anything fear for retaliation.

I am in AS. I was allotted 3.5% for my team but last time I checked, some of my team's budget was reduced/taken away by my VP. Let's hope they don't take more by Oct 2nd. Worst is ... if there are more layoffs on Oct 9th. It is so messed up.

Manager here. Oct 2 US and Canada Exempt Oct 1 all except US do not expect much as VPs/SVPs eff with numbers.p

Its unclear whether they have any plans for those this year. Anyway they r giving teeny-tiny peanuts to deserving employees and pocketing millions worth of stocks. So dont keep hope..

No yearly merits (raises). My department recieved them since I been here 2 years ago (around this time) but nothing as of yet.
