They continue to lay off people in small amounts and their latest tactic involves forcing employees out by ultimatum. This involves either they do what they are asked or take the severance. They are also told not to tell anyone and act like they are leaving by their own choice.
Is this true? Can anybody confirm this is happening? Because this sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen for Conagra.
Its just a matter of time till they get sued by someone working for them for discrimination issues which will balloon into major class action suit. It looks immoral and wrong by those who work for the company so something is questionable. The 12 million dollar fine they got earlier in the year wasn't because they follow the law. They will slip up because they are not that good at what they are doing. But the hr working people pay the price.
Sick, dysfunctional, culture.
Signing that severance gives away any right you had to a lawsuit. They know that.
Hopefully I will survive to retire in a year. Just hanging on.
I knew we were dealing with a bunch of amoral scumbags when their first new motto was "Integrity in Everything We do.". As if we didn't have any before. I knew they had no intention of doing it themselves. Only the little disposable worker bees would need integrity. Screw them as much as you can. Senior Leadership. Nah!!
And you basically sign away your rights to discuss your layoff until your severance is done. You are just totally screwed if you want anything from ConAgra.
You sign the Severance agreement or you don't get any money. You basically sign away any rights to sue the company for any reason whatsoever in the future. They can hide whatever they want under those conditions.
