Enrollment currently at all time low. ~6000 total including online. Thoughts on rebranding increasing enrollments?

As 7ghr stated, there will be information coming out in a couple weeks, but not all good news. Most will receive good news but there are some that will be receiving some really bad news.
My bigger question centers on what could all the money be doing to improve the lives of people and our country? If you combine hundreds of millions in Pell Grants, hundreds of millions in defaulted loans, and the hundreds of millions of ECMC's collections profits, can you imagine what a real school could do for students?
Zenith Education Group is the money laundering division of ECMC. They've s---ed all the money they can out of the stupid Everest students so change the name and see if we can lure in more stupid people. The entire operation is a scam to collect huge amounts of tax payer cash.
" I don't know where the money is coming from. Maybe they could have shared that on the town hall!" They did share if you just didn't hear it. The money is coming from the ECMC foundation because ECMC is a non-profit. You can't have the 50 million sitting in the bank and call yourself a non-profit. Look for some interesting news in the next couple of weeks, there is stuff brewing, good stuff. Just sit back and realize that Zenith wasn't purchased to make money for ECMC. If you were told that or think that then I am sorry. ECMC will keep Zenith around to offset the ECMC profits they are making on loan servicing.
Out of the 12, some did get approved. Unless you're referring to those that had expired accreditation. The process yes requires layers but regardless of one you need all. For instance, you first apply to the state. Once the state approves then you apply to the institutional accreditor, like ACCSC, ACCET, etc. The big one is your institutional accreditor. Without it you are not granted financial aid. To someone else's point, yes you would expect enrollment to have increased with the decrease in competition. Also you have to realize that every other school is trying to reaccredit as well. The bottom line is , the bottom line is a big black hole. I don't know where the money is coming from. Maybe they could have shared that on the town hall!
Since the schools (not sure if all the remaining ones) were able to rebrand, does that mean that they are now accredited by ACCSC? Don't they need approvals from DOE, accreditation, State and the VA (considering there are still some VA enrollments)? I'm just trying to understand the process because from my knowledge those were the steps not unless the rules have changed.
Online had no chance of finding a new accreditor. WyoTech has always been under ACCSC but none of the 12 Everests that lost ACICS had been approved by ACCSC yet. There web sites still say they expect to be under new accreditation in early 2017. I heard it doesn't look good at all with ACCSC so they're checking into other accreditation boards. It's looking more and more like at least 12 more campuses will be closing in 2018. The talk around campus is ECMC is trying to sale the 3 WyoTechs to recoup some of the loses. It's hard to sell nearly empty schools to anyone, especially with the lousy reputation we have.
Seems strange that there's been no growth with the exiting of some other competitors. Bad leadership.
Yes online is going away which makes that number very scary. We have programs with total active population nationwide that used to be the population at one campus. I really don't know how they sustain. Sounds like bankruptcy!
Of the 6000 enrolled, how many are online? Isn't online going away?
Ok, I should have said 50% of the students that enroll. You're correct about the lack of discipline because we can't offend the students. If you try and discipline a student you're called in and threatened with your job.
i work for a competitor. You guys make it easy for us. We love you.
We all know about zenith's special relationship with the department of ed. ECMC has made more than 2 billion dollars off borrowers that mostly attended schools just like Everest. The Obama admin loves ECMC.
2fls: must raise the bullsht flag on your WyoTech 50% placement. It is currently 85% at WyoTech-Laramie. Nonetheless, WyoTech-Laramie is being "watered-down" to a lower standard to reach the lowest common denominator...UTI. While WyoTech-Blairsville has set their own lower standards for years, they are now in command and will bring WyoTech-Laramie down to their level...UTI. WyoTech-Blairsville is a cesspool of Liberal no shave, no rules, common core, millennial, baby-sitting, welfare-state, bullsht, FAFSA, money-s---ing institute. Barack Obama's buddy, John Podesta, was given the task (whatever that's supposed to be) to save the post-high school colleges and to give Podesta's agency, ECMC, longevity with more student debt for the future. The problem is, low enrollment. These schools s--- so badly that even illiterate Millennials aren't enrolling.
First off, Obama was the one that pushed out CCi and put the deal together with ECMC to basically steal the schools. Second, Trump is pushing to make it harder to get student loans which will hurt these types of schools even more, but at least it will cut down on defaults. WyoTech cut their own throat years ago but enrolling and graduating unqualified students. We used to have hundreds of employers coming to WyoTech to hire our grads but after more and more of their hires turned out to be worthless technicians they quit hiring from WyoTech. We can barely place 50% of our graduates now.
600 students at Wyo? That is what I call failure. It's hard to imaging falling that much in a market that remains on demand. It speaks directly to the incompetence of the marketing regime and management team. I'm literally shocked it is this bad. I was there when we had new enrollments of more than 200 in a single start. Wow.
The plug should have been pulled on Everest years ago! Worthless Senior Leadership, zero understanding of business ethics, and the standards for hiring employees was lowered to just barely above ground about 4 years ago. The government won't do anything about it because we all know about Heil Trump's admiration for "colleges" and "universities" like Everest.
Too late for rebranding, should have been done at the very beginning. With online in teach out the numbers will continue to drop. Remember when online was what kept CCi afloat with over 15,000 students enrolled. Zenith can't even revive the WyoTech name, which at one time was the top automotive school in the country, Everest will never come back. The 3 WyoTechs have around 600 students combined and a one time had over 4,000 students. ECMC must be making a fortune on the backend from Zenith because they are losing tons on the front.
Rebranding will not work. If Zenith gave every student $10,000 in vouchers to a great school or towards one-on-one tutoring, the cost would be far lower than our losses last year or projected for this year. AND the students would be much much better off. It's time to acknowledge that we aren't hitting our outcomes and we should pull the plug.
"Lipstick on a pig" ha! Perfect analogy!
How did they even find 6000 that would waste their money? Oh wait, its our taxpayer money they live off.
The phrase "putting lipstick n a pig" comes to mind.....
