Imagine justt for a miment. A (or more than one) "player(s)" (owners, coaches, executives, board members, batboys, batgirls, etc.) on or with a "team" (company) are in search of a specific outcome in a "game", make indirect "bets" (investments) with a "bookie" (investment firm) knowing that said "bookie" could step up to the plate to intimidate the "field". Intimidate to the point of achieving said outcome. And these said "bets" (investments) could gain a possible 80% return (in one game!). This going on without the other "team mates" and audience in attendance knowing. "Team mates" that have put their 110% in all season, and audience members spending their hard earned wages to watch (purchase items at the stores/stadium) a good game.
Now I ask you,
Who wins in that game?
And would you continue to play with or pay to attend their games?
Not me!
