Thread regarding Kellogg layoffs

Another kick in the nuts

Got an email this morning from Scott Salmon ( as I assume all current employees did) announcing that the company has created new positions for a test run of what they're calling Perimeter Display teams.

The Perimeter Display Specialist positions will only be offered to current PTMs.

WTF??

The company has just figured out that the stores will not give priority to building displays of Kellogg's products so they come up with this great new idea to cover that base.

And only offer it to part timers?

That was a large part of what we KMs did for however many years, but we're suddenly too great a burden on the bottom line.

Thank you, Kellogg's, for this latest kick in the balls. If you have any others, you only have a week or two to get them in.

OMG, you are soo right! What PTM ever went to the trouble to build a display and if they did how many of us KM's have to redo the damn thing! And let's not forget the merchandiser conference call where they hired someone new and asked all to welcome them on! I bet 99.5 % of the people in on that we're loosing there jobs! How nice of them! I even had fun saying that on one of the plus check surveys! I really let them have it in that survey at least I knew they were reading them.

So PTM s get their bonus get to keep their jobs. Sounds great until you have to clean up this disaster that's been created. Good luck in any Walmart ! You might as well sleep there ...plenty of room on the shelf where our product WAS ! You'll be the only dealing with this BS cuz you better believe the KSRs aren't going to have time to. Jump over to Nabisco while you have the chance. Lifeboats are filling up fast.

Still pisses me off,the reason kellogg bought Keebler, was the store to store sales, someone in there selling the product, and those of us to get the product to the stores,at a days, sometimes hours notice.

To add insult to injury all KSR's being let go from the company are required to go into each store with the KSR replacing them to introduce the replacement to the decision makers. This is the ultimate kick to the nuts. They have our nuts in one hand and the severance package in the other.

Yes I got this email also the "dream team" is starting to realize how valuable KSR's and KM's are to the front lines in every store. Gotta love the fact they are starting to squirm a bit now that reality is setting in. Welcome to the O'Hara and Salmon Game over show!

Part timers mean no benefits to employees that the Kellogg way don't want full timers as that means benefits might as well go down to man power to get your help Kellogg's what a disaster
