Thread regarding Kellogg layoffs

Kellogg's Revenue and Profits 2016

Revenue last year was $13.01 Billion

Profits in 2016 were $694 Million

Even with the loss of $53 million in Q4 profits were 3/4th of a billion dollars!! The CEO said DSD has a 20% operating cost vs. a 5% operating cost for warehouse. We are all being laid off to add 15% more to the profits which in a perfect world would be $104.1 million extra according to last years numbers, but take into account the amount of SKU's cut from all stores nationwide, the horrendous merchandising at Walmart, the ineptitude of stores to stock enough products to fill the shelves, and the loss of secondary displays I guarantee they will not even come close to the projected numbers from the analytics. It's going to get ugly fast and heads will roll in the board room in Battle Creek once the shareholders realize the suicide mission the leadership team is on. GAME OVER!

15% is hard $ to walk away from. Prob will look good on paper but sales will not grow.

Remember when K dumped the cereal reps years ago? They don't even order or packout and cereal sales took a big hit. I was shocked how much.

Its one heck of a gamble.

You can bet all the other DSD merchants will be paying close attention.
