Thread regarding IBM layoffs

IBM have most likely banked on this financial deterrent when they ruthlessly discarded older and therefore higher salaried employees at government minimums when calculating the risk / cost of litigation and settling out of court for age discrimination and unfair dismissal.

Now that's all changed, let's see what happens. The fees were a major deterrent to those who could least afford to take IBM on at an extremely vulnerable financial time. Good luck to anyone who is unfortunate to face this dilemma but at least a large obstacle is now removed.
