Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

It's the constant and chronic fear of not if but,

WHEN.

You can go to work all happy, feeling good about the effort and quality you put in everyday. You can enjoy your coworkers and have a sense of satisfaction with your job.

But then there it is, the rumors, the shuffling of departments to different buildings, the wondering if your team is next, will everyone make it over with the move? The fear, paranoia, concern seeps in and permeates your day and you leave tired, stressed, worried, exhausted from the 7000 and where it comes from, Whoi is it going to hit, and WHEN....

Terrible way to run a corporation.

I said it last night in a different thread

It s---s the lifeblood from you it's a parasite

Morale is crushed by the weight of knowing watching waiting and yes being inundated with impossible deadlines and heavy workloads

Not to use a cliche saying but it will reach a tipping point where the cuts are so severe it backfires

You can't cut yourself to profit forever

Or outsource forever

Something gives whether a take over or collapse but this trajectory is unsustainable

Look at GE cut cut cut still a down

IBM 21 quarters of misses

The corporate graveyard is full of greed bloat mismanagement and loser CEO's

Is the clipper ship on that trajectory I hope not for our sakes but it sure looks it with it's propped up buybacks chronic layoffs and lack of "accountability" from the top yes pun intentional

Its the stress of seeing your section lose 3 people and the remaining 5 people have pick up the slack of the missing 3.

Its gets worse when somebody is on vacation and your down to 4 people and the work load is increasing. But the bosses still demand the work is down 100% correct and 100% on time.

Your actually encouraged to have your break and lunch at your desk so you can continue working.

Remember the needs of State Street are more important than the well being of the overworked staff

7000

The giant white elephant in the room

You can't ignore it

It's there

Who will get crushed?

Random or selective?

It's a big number and the 2020 deadline is ticking closer

We are going to have another major crash and humugous recesdion it's in its infancy you can't see it but it will happen.

It will likely happen by Fall 2017!and free falll from there.

All the gains this past ten months will be lost and there will be massive bailouts only this time for insurance and college debt will parallel the financial meltdown and housing bubble

Hold onto your hats and prep your 401k now

You have been warned

And oh yea 7000 will be spit in the ocean

This will be a tsunami
