Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Experienced employees at ADP are a thing of the past

The reason for all the closings is that they want to consolidate all ADP's into five super centers. Cost containment and much lower annual income for their NEW employees. Long gone are the days of experienced employees.

Yup, @O7V6OeI-blru. New workers are cheaper. Who cares if they know only a fraction of those who were fired to make room for them. Sad, but it's our reality.

I was layed off from ADP after 17 yrs of hard work and dedication. But being replaced by people off the street for the sake of the company saving money was enough for me. I'm here to tell you that there is life after that place. I recently started a new job and while my salary is a bit less than what I was making it's so refreshing to be treated with respect and to be able to contact HR and IT people who aren't in India. And to work at a place that people can safely retire from without the constant budget enforced layoffs that happen so often at ADP. Move on and regain your sanity!

Not only are the firing tenured employees, managers are being given mandates to give 1 person on their team - usually the highest paid one- a bad review so that they don't qualify for a raise. So, HR tells them to figure out any tiny little think to put into the person's review to justify the low review score. This means a tenured, highly knowledgeable and devoted employee ends up with no raise for a year of hard work and a bad review on their permanent file. So, even if they aren't one of the many wonderful tenured employees who are losing their jobs, their career is dead in the water anyway. It's very sad to see a company that once prided itself on treating its employees as its #1 commodity change its actions and philosophy so quickly.

Its true!! Cut out tenured people who are overpaid according to the higher ups. Someone must really be smoking something because since when do front line employees make more than mgrs/execs?
