So if the deal reaches the cut off date and the deal isn't done ......Does BP walk away and not look back? Or come back and offer way less than the $61.50? Or let Cabela's continue to slide into bankruptcy and cherry pick prime Cabela's locations and warehouses?

I have tired to post the truth. I know in visiting with the main parties involved in Sidney in this situation people have relied on this site and the Omaha world herald for some guidance at times. .most people I know does not consider this a gossip site,
This is a gossip site and it is out of control.
I work at Cabela's HQ and have for years. Folks please realize it is just a job/career that can be changed at anytime. I have been through several reorgs and a merger (at other places) and they ended badly for me. But you know what, I have always landed back on my feet. And yes here I am again getting ready to going through this merger with lots of Outfittters who could be impacted. I am not looking forward to it but we who are still employed here have to go through it. It is not going to be fun but remember there is a God and if you put you trust in him, he will supply your needs. Cabela's might be the means God is using but maybe it is time for a new means for God to supply to you. I don't say these things lightly and I mean zero disrespect to anyone who is not in the position I am in. For me, I have no other choice but to surrender to the God who is in control. And I am not. Fear only hurts you but God's grace heals you. Take this challenge and surrender to God and "see what he can do through you."

How nice it would be if the poster who predicted bass pro would fire every Cabela employee in Sidney and bring in 40 employee from bass pro to run the Sidney operation if he could defend his logic and tremendous knowledge he had in a court of law in Sidney ne. I never will forget all the anonymous comment which followed which stated his post were so brilliant. shouldn't this poster welcome the chance to explain his post more even if in a court of law. If you remember right this poster never gave any specific where his figures was coming from. A court of law could give him the chance.

It would be interesting to roll back an look what was said earlier in regard to the layoffs if the merger went thru on this site. . I still STAND BY MY PREDICTIONS. I wonder if the poster (who supposedly always had so many comments how brilliant of post he made would still stand by his. ) like that bass pro would fire every Cabela employee and replace them with 40 people from bass pro to run the Sidney operation. Remember this poster stated he felt sorry for a poster like myself who didn't have basic reasoning skills to be able to understand a basic principle of business concept and who didn't agree with him..
If jobs from other towns are scouting talent in Sidney you know there will be layoffs. For instance, look at Buckle holding informational sessions in Sidney.

The community of Sidney has always had the propensity for rumors and tall tales, the juicier the better. Just like one of the current remors that all the realtors are busy showing homes to the incoming Bass Pro Executives that will be reloacting to our , ahem, fair community.
Probably just the usual rumor going around. You can never be too certain anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if there is one coming up though.
