wow. I can believe some of the gossip on this site. Some of comments posted here are absurd. There is good advice here on preparing just in case there is a layoff. The rest of it is junk. I would think at this point if a layoff is coming those affected are already on a list and not much can be done about it. If I was to gamble I would say any 2017 layoff would probably be announced this Friday by SM. He is a good person and I think he will provide a honest answer if asked.
It likely be to know how bad business is for the Qualcomm this week. Very much likely know if layoff will be.
Not ever know future. Best to be very much prepare. Have save the money for emergency and update resume. Now wait to see what to see what happen.
