Few groups under VPG software were served notice this week to find jobs in two months. Luckily my group escaped. The jobs have been shifted to Mexico from Folsom. I heard that VPG hardware will take some reductions. The reason they gave is budget reductions.

Redeployment has started in VPG. A manager in Folsom had to tell one of their own that his being redeployed.
In Intel, every team is bigger than what is required. Years of market domination and naked profiteering has bred lot of inefficiency. All the job cuts that happen also are not improving efficiency but just reduce work. Managers are so incompetent that they just think when jobs are cut, they just get less work done.
Don't know if fake news or not. All I know is VPG HW needs significant cutting, something's wrong when your validation and your Fulsim teams are way larger than your actual design team.

I talked to my friend in VPG hardware and he said no layoffs. Actually they are hiring.
In the mean while, BK and execs are cashing out millions in shares and send their thanks to all those laidoff!

VPG visual perf group is intel gfx...many of my friends under HW gfx have been notified today that they got laid off..
It is mostly management brain reduction in VPG and IOTG. As time progresses, the management becomes dumber. Dumb BK, MR, BOD... And dumber low level management.
