Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Middle Management

The fact that no front-line rep managers have leaked what was told to them today really shows how gutless and spineless they are. It's an anonymous board!

Service reps likely won't be affected. Unless you're an "I" in your last review. Client-facing roles are pretty safe right now, with the exception of a few (such as pas service).

I am close friends with four front-line managers (two in PI and two in WI) and am 100% certain that they have not been officially told by their respective director if layoffs will occur and who on their team is impacted. My understanding is each manager will come in early tomorrow morning and be told at that time.

If you think frontline managers know more than "there is a RIF tomorrow", you are overestimating them.

They laid managers off a few months ago and froze the MDP grads from the interim jobs. They could be on the chopping block as well.
