Boeing capitalized on the backs of new hires, they scared them! Boeing used this to gain heavily well into the future, the unions acted soft and dint see this coming, they passively went along with what Boeing demanded, contract negotiating behind closed doors in private, with out union workers knowledge and during the middle of existing contract, well before the contracts were up, the workers spoke with there votes, by voting down the deal, the company immediately countered with new contract giving employees a generous lumb sum signing bonus, and it passed!
This turned a new page on how deals are met. Promises are never kept, the contracts with both the states, for tax reductions totaling Billions, and the employees, mean little to Boeing, the company will always take advantage of situations that benefit a few! This is at the cost of tax payers an unethical upper management trust!
