Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Legacy

I've heard a lot about legacy and grand visions on this site .

Now, Johnny Morris...he has a legacy to be proud of. He didn't sell his town out. He didn't sell his employees out. His name will live on for decades. The Cabela's name will be thrown on the trash heap...like Gimbles, May and co. and soon Sears.

The family took an obscene amount of money...more money than any family could ever spend. Enjoy living in a ghost town.

When Goldman forces BPS to go public in a few years or Morris needs to cash out because his son isn't capable of running things (sound familiar) and that's the fastest way to get the billions back they paid for the CAB brand...it will all feel like ground hogs day.

Said it many times. Tommy has fault but the Cabelas family sold the company and put this towns future in jeopardy the day it went public. And to be honest, I don't blame them. No company or tradition last for ever.

" Doesn't care about people like Cabela's"

Cabela's ruined hundreds of people's lives. Foreclosures. Financial lives ruined for seven years.

Spare me ...Cabela's caring...what a joke

There's a surprise coming for you.

John L doesn't care about his people the way that Cab used to.

BPS is the king of churn and burn for the hired help

As history of companies that have ceased to exist shows, cabela's will disappear quickly from people's memories. Like Montgomery Wards, Spiegel and Herters- gone is gone. Unfortunate- thanks Tommy and gang
