Premera Blue Cross is super top heavy, the company has constant reorganizations - this drives everyone crazy and there is no rhyme or reason to it... They are talking about being nimble, 'agile' but in fact they are so slow it's not even funny. They used to take care of people, but now they just hire contractors - and contractors do not care, they move from gig to gig, and could care less about quality and long term.

Layoffs are happening all the time, people are truly concerned and afraid.

That's how things are - bad.

It sounds like a toxic technology environment, constant layoffs, continued outsourcing, rumors that the outsourcing is to family members companies. Executive leaders change directions depending on which consultants are connected at that time.
Focus,Focus,Focus! Replace executive management immediately.
Money is lost/wasted every minute on "shiny objects" that do not exist. GenAI will not fix any of Premera's issues.
Auto adjudicate claims, pay faster and simpler than the competition, quit focusing on IT & outsourcing! That was 10 years ago. Listen to the few remaining experts left. Ki-l the MSFT mentality, THIS IS HEALTHCARE INSURANCE, not product development.
The spending to spin up "startup's" is a waste of the member's money. In addition, release the cost centers that are consistently failing!
