You can whine all you want nothing changes here at JCP - I mean nothing - this are so rigid and people live in their little kingdoms, silos or fiefdoms - stone walls have been erected and you cannot change a thing here. Look at the management layer and see how quickly they change - it happens all the time there is no appreciation of the individual. JCPenney workers grew comfortable with layoffs now, we almost feel it's an inevitable evil we'll have to endure over next 5, 10, 20 years - just go with it...
Compensation is ridiculous and our annual raises were very small - you'll never be able to catch up if they lowballed you to beging with...
Frequent turn over with management, layoffs. Annual raises were very small. The supervisor overlooked inappropriate behaviors , even when brought to them many times.
So, the saga will continue, more layoffs and more layoffs, and people being pissed but nothing will change as Amazon continues to obliterate the retail sector. At some point point there will be no more stores to close (read Sears) and you'll have to figure out what's next for the company.
I am hoping I'll not be around to witness this - Godspeed!
