Anybody else really worried about Kohl’s latest announcement that we will be cutting floor space in close to half of our stores? At this time they are claiming there will be no layoffs, but I would be lying if I said I was not worried. Here's hoping that they stick to their word and keep all of us employed...

Plan on layoffs. Those corporate dirtbags have plenty up their sleeves, they just won't drop the bomb until they're ready. When the 16 stores closed in 2016, it was already a plan in Fall 2015 but they swore certain corporate insiders to secrecy to work everyone in the doomed stores through the holidays. I know this because I was one of the people swore to secrecy. I no longer work there, so I may now speak freely about the sneaky sh-- that goes on behind corporate walls.
This must have to do with making room for the Amazon showrooms that are moving in to the Kohl's stores.
