Things continue to go downhill. Now, 14 recruiters are getting laid off - this means no more hiring, the workloads will go up but we'll do it with less people. Fun times...

Wow, glad I did not stay with my Blue Apron subscription. Sounds like things are not going so well.
You assume that business is not dropping off. If that were so, the execs would not be laying off recruiters. No, the workloads won't go up, they will drop, as business drops.
