The long awaited Q2 earnings report is expected in less than 24 hours. However, other than the standard "rou-hah" calls, there won't be an official, investor relations call.
There's nothing earth-shattering expected in the report, but the timing and actions taken pertaining to the report seems somewhat less than ordinary.
We shall see.
Also, Staples has a $250 million write off last year 2nd qtr last year.
I'm sure there was a lot of money shifting to make it look better for Sycamore.
Second quarter sales were poor. They say not as bad as last year's second quarter but reality reflects that it's still very poor performance. Overall sales as well as same-store sales were down but the spin is that they were not as bad as they expected. What a joke! Staples, please go away already.

As far as moving on, the best Demos could do was Barnes & Noble. I enjoy reading and I am unhappy B and N is failing. I have little faith in Demos and will be sad when they close the two stores near me. I shopped there the other day and a manager I knew from Staples works there. There staff is very unhappy with Demos
Well, I bet that inept leadership can at least string a few words together to form a coherent sentence. So they've got that going for them.
So the inept leadership can talk up themselves, and try get bigger golden parachutes before they move on to they next company that will destroy with their incompetence.
