Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

Abandon Ship!

Employees are not being layed off they are voluntarily jumping ship. Four in our BU in the last two days, more to come . The mood elevator is in the basement!

With Nemesis about to pass the Earth (see Photos from around the world on You Tube. I saw Nemesis come around the Sun, the Sun Split into two Suns on 7/13/17 so I know the Truth) you'd have to be crazy to work for Chesapeake knowing that you are stealing from US Landowners. That alone will cost you your Soul if the Earth experiences a pole shift. Those in flat lowlands are doubtful to survive a Pole Shift flood.

If doug, t-tbone and the board of directors survive the passing of Nemesis, I guarantee Trumps 12/21/17 Human Rights and Corrupt Activities Bill will collect all assets and imprison the whole lot of them.

That's why We The People especially US Landowners being stolen from by Chesapeake elected Trump.

Please let me know where the above losers are shipped to do time so I can send them a note now and them to remind them what freedom is like.

Personally I see their actions as Treason against US Citizens, so they should be hung like the Sheriff would have done back in 1850 when Unethical Thugs robbed over 25 states of their Well Products/Natural Resources to the tune of Trillions.

I won't mention what is going to happen to the "Past and Present" Elected Officials who have stood by in Shale Play States and watched their states Citizens being stolen from. There's something in the Bill for those Traitors as well. The 2nd American Revolution is in progress and the Corrupt will not be included in Our Nations Future.

It's a sinking ship. New managers come on board and immediately head for the life boats.

I get a new manager every 4 to 6 months, it's not the managers. It's CHK in general, part of the problem though we get a new supervisor just after we get to know someone. How dumb is that? Why do we change bosses so often, damn when you guys made change management a core value yall were not fu- king around, you all change management like Scooter changes underwear!!!

Leave while you have a choice. Do you really want to be at the mercy of them and their sh--ty severance package while your life is in turmoil??? Trust me, that company only looks after itself and could NOT care less about employees.

And yet there are still CHK employees out there talking about the new pool or new truck or new this or that they're getting. Gotta laugh at that logic.

This truly was a great spot to work (I am a field employee at that). When are they going to wake up tons of peeps departing, watch (STX) in the next 10 days (Mass Exodus). WakeUp, something is broken!

Yes, anyone can write anything; however, if you really work at CHK you know that what is being said is true. You can't make this crap up. We want to sell the Utica but nobody wants, we have packages for Haynesville that includes stuff we just bought a year or so ago, we have Eagle Ford teasers out, and I hear the entire MidCon is up for sale; but we can't close a single divestiture. Meanwhile the management team is pumping the 'mood elevator' and 'be here now'. Most supervisors even recognize the BS and are honest about it; but managers are too busy trying to be the next VP to recognize the real problem.

The EC has it set to where the place will not go bankrupt but at the same time this place will never be a try force ever again. The goal is to bankroll all employees manager and up and let the revolving door of individual contributors continue.

The employees are just tired of being fed the crap of being cared about and that the company is doing great. We all know that things are not going well and that management does not care if an employee leaves or not. We have an intern we can make an offer to with 7-8 years less experience, but he will 'be here now'.

Unfortunately, the jobs out there are drying up again and layoffs are just around the corner and you can bet the packages this time will be 1/2 of what they were last time.

I think the problem is higher up than mid management. Incompetence reigns at the very top. Analysis paralysis with zero ability to pull off a major company changing move - completely describes the EC.

Jumped ship this year. Had enough of the middle management dumpster fire.

Who came up with this CULTure crap? We have EC members more dedicated to this CULTure program than improving our business results. Just insane that EC people making millions are more concerned with a stupid and silly "be here now" story than doing their JOB and getting this company financially secure! The senndelaney company must be laughing their way to the bank that a company this broke is spending money on their hocuspocus!

So the management arrogance continues despite all of the failings. Our competition is just laughing their @sses off.

Doug is clueless. All he asks is for more, with less. I believe chk will make it but key employees are leaving for better options. Want us to take culture training seriously? Then why were managers taken to the Skirvin hotel to be wine'ed and dine'ed for their culture training. This is exactly what is wrong with the culture at chk. Want employees to be good at their jobs? How about you don't rotate people every 2-4 years so that they actually create value rather than be novices at everything. We have yet to take knowledge to wisdom due to these value destructive rotations.

EXACTLY! It is a complete joke...sad thing is though it is our reality. Our management has their heads up their rears & actually believes the culture change is going to improve things when it is killing morale (no comment needed from Scooter). With all the day to day each of us have to accomplish there is not enough time to do our jobs & "Be Here Now ". I would rather be elsewhere, deuces!

Can you believe we have a crisis and a stock at this low point and the EC is wasting all this time and money on this koolaide CULTure training? Crazy! My mood elevator doesn't even register this low!

The funny thing about the sinking ship is, field employees are bailing out water while management is pissing in the boat.
