Thread regarding CVS layoffs

I see cvs is hiring loss prevention associates again. What's the word on changes/ pay? I'm asking for a friend😁

Avoid Kohls - they are downing sizing LP but do it under the cover of consolidation- regionals on down get cut with to no notice. High stress environment - makes for bad work environment. Look for Amazon or Ross.

FYI - Kohls in So Cal is pretty good - wife works there and she likes it a lot.

I would avoid Kohl’s in the RI/MA area. Other than that, they have a great LP program

CVS is a bunch of idiots trying to organize and run a company. Being laid off is the best thing that happened to me. I’m now making more money with a company who actually cares about their employees. Best of luck guys!

They are a bunch of lies they all know what is going on. I hope the October 4th date is correct cause this company is a joke and I hope that we never have to deal with this situation ever again

YES. And that's literally more possible than them giving us any severance now.

I know they are well aware of these posts. I heard from my bosses that they check it everyday. They also said it's all lies but I equally dont believe them.

Imagine if CVS is secretly fueling these rumors to shed people who have a limited or wavering commitment to the company and that when they do finally decide the fate of the program, they've already saved a ton of payroll and problems by stalling and letting us self destruct.

The severances they gave last time were only for salaried positions.

I have a feeling they're not giving us severances or laying off. They have no legal responsibility to do that and that's probably why they waited for 75% of the team to quit first.

You might be able to right away but start without benefits.

Does anyone know if you take the severance how long you have to wait to re apply for another position?

Well. I used to hear that we "may be getting laid off" by a few seniors and RLPMS. Now I'm heading things about keeping schedules the same for when "we go back to the way things were". I am more and more worried that we will never be laid off. This company is NOT worth our TIME.

Ya we all are man no one wants to say anything this company is a bunch of jerks. They are stringing us along just to either lay us off or completely change our job. Amazing how this company hasnt even said anything

I'm curious is everyone being fed the same BS as me. My Nut swinger of a senior says we all still have to work certain hours and certain days because when things go back to normal they don't want to revise the schedule.. The people in my area are doing jack!! But we have to close two nights a week.. Anyone?? And i heard November they will decide from another MI.. But more rumors i guess

I think they're not laying us off. I think they're gonna make a new position that focuses on auditing and product protection. I'm out. I'm not waiting any longer. Peace

Idk. I'm not sure they're laying us off at this point. I think they're just gonna reorganize.

Also I don't work for corp, I'm just a MI who happened to get a heads from my RLPM who heard it for the director. I'm definitely not suggesting to quit now and lose your severence, hell yeah you should stay until you get the severance. I am just trying to get the info out there so y'all can start getting your resumes out

Fair enough. Any idea when the "new layoff date" will be? If they're gonna wait for the Harvey aftermath to blow over they'll be waiting a while.

Last word I got was the lay offs have been delayed due to hurricane Harvey, they didn't want to do the lay offs the same week as harvey. The layoff was supposed to happen last Thursday obviously the company doesn't want to look bad so they postponed it. I am not gonna name drop and risk my rlpm losing his severance pay, sorry. He has been good to us and I am just trying to give everyone a heads up. Take it as you will
