Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

Thanks Frank, you inspired me

Oh Frank, thank you for the townhall where we were told each one of us is the problem for our low stock price. You instilled so much more motivation in me, likely more than my worthless stock options. Good thing I got culture training, to bad by in large we don't have issues our peers or teams. Our problem is with Chesapeake (executives and vp's) who ask us to do more with less over and over again. For going above and beyond how are employees rewarded? With a pay for performance culture of course! This is where all employees fall into one of three buckets: "fail", meet, or exceed expectations. Too bad by in large everyone must meet expectations. I have even asked to give exceeds to an employee who more than deserved it to and got denied. Thanks hr, I refuse to take money from the rest of the team to reward another employee. The ones i had as meet deserved to meet, not to meet yet be given less to cover the excede employee amount. Ever think someone deserves a promotion and exceeds in the same year? HR won't let you do that either no matter how much they deserve it. Pay for performance is a pathetic attempt to inspire employees to take their future into their own hands. Too bad it's a carnival game that no one can win.

Thanks for confirming what I already expected. Our careers are an afterthought to the selfish "leaders" who already got theirs.

Frank can only inspire the employees to update their resumes and find a better job.

I'll let you take my "future" in your own hands...if you know what I mean.
